  • Worwood to serve as Grand Marshal of Levan Heritage Days celebration

Marilyn Worwood

Marilyn Worwood has been chosen as the Grand Marshall for the Levan Heritage Days celebration.
She was born June 27, 1932 in Salina, Utah, where as a young girl she learned the value of hard work and self-reliance. She met Karl Worwood at a dance and they were married July 14, 1952, and she moved to Levan. She worked at Rancho Trailers in Nephi and helped run the family farm. She and Karl raised 5 children Dennis, Carla (Jerry), Mitchell, Linda (Gary), and Craig (Karen). She also has 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Marilyn helped Karl run the farm while he was working construction. She could often be found in the field baling and hauling hay, moving the sprinklers, and taking care of whatever needed to be taken care of. She loved to be able to travel with Karl as well to the different job sites where he was working.
Her greatest love is her family. She is a great cook and enjoyed having the family all together. She often fed whatever army showed up to take care of the work.
She loves living in Levan and wishes everyone a happy and safe 24th Celebration!
