  • Kay to serve as Mona City Pioneer Day Grand Marshal

Allan Kay

Allan Kay will serve as this year's Mona City Pioneer Day Grand Marshal.
At 77 years old, Allan is not the oldest person in Mona, but he has lived his entire life in Mona. Anyone who knows him knows him as the "Mona Cowboy", the greatest bull rider alive. Now, this is a totally self-perceived story as the closest he has come to riding bulls is when he is seen on his 4-wheeler trying to gather the cattle off the mountain or move them back to the mountain.
Allan is one of the biggest story tellers alive with not a whole lot of truth to the story but guaranteed to keep you entertained. He is one of those guys that would give you the shirt off his back and do anything he can to help out.
He is a good husband and father. He was a steel worker until Geneva Steel shut down and then he took over the family farm as a full-time farmer which really is his true love.
His mother was a devoted member of the Utah Daughters of the Pioneers. He has had many callings throughout his lifetime which he has always done to the best of his ability.
