Virginia Moss
1917 ~ 2015


Virginia Moss, 97, of Nephi, passed away Monday May 18, 2015, one day short of her 98th birthday.
Virginia was born, May 19, 1917 in Southwick, Idaho to Charles Wesley Lowe and Edna Lois Bennett. She married Lorenzo Hoitt Moss in 1939. Together they bought a ranch at Juab where they raised their three children, Bill, Lila, and Cody.  Her many talents included knitting, sewing, needlepoint, and quilting. She has made hundreds of quilts throughout her life and made all of her families clothing on a treadle sewing machine. She was so meticulous in her quilting that one of her quilts is on display in the National Women's Museum in Washington, DC.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hoiit, her brothers and sister, and one granddaughter, Michelle. She is survived by her children, Bill, Lila, and Cody (Utona), her 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23rd at the Nephi Stake Center (351 North 100 West) at 11:00 AM. A viewing will also be held at the Nephi Stake Center Friday evening from 6-8 pm and Saturday morning from 10:00-10:45, prior to the funeral.
