Heather Taylor, town clerk, informed the Levan Town Council that work on the master plan is going forward.
"The Planning and Zoning Board reviewed the introduction, background and history of the master plan," she said.
She said they discussed appointing a committee to take care of the smaller parts of the plan. The council would continue to work on the state required parts of the master plan.
She said that the board felt the introduction needed to be changed, but would need to have the master plan done before that could happen. There was also adequate information in the background and history, but they felt it could be updated and include more aspects of the town including history of the water department.
Brady Taylor, council member, said the P & Z board wanted the council to appoint some people to serve on this committee.
Mayor Russ Mangelson asked the council members if they could submit some names for consideration. They are looking for five people to be on the committee.
