Girl Scout Cookies are a tradition that goes back to when girls baked cookies to sell door to door. The sale helps girls learn skills business skills. Girls earn credit from their personal sales to attend summer camp, purchase uniforms and other equipment. A percentage of cookie sales go to the Council to pay for Girl Scout programs in Utah (Camp Cloud Rim and Trefoil Ranch). The troop also earns money to pay for troop trips, craft supplies, service projects and other expenses.
If you do not get a knock on your door, you can still order by calling Mariann Gibson, Cookie Manager, at 623-0527, or at The Times-News office, Troop Sponsor, 96 South Main, Nephi.
