Brad Rue Morgan
1954-2010
Brad Rue Morgan lost his courageous battle with cancer on December 28, 2010 in Nephi, Utah. He was born on June 8, 1954 to Fay Legrand and Reva Golden Morgan in Nephi.
Brad graduated from Juab High School where he was involved in wrestling and other sports. Brad married Carrie Heaton on March 23, 2007 in Nephi, Utah. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, all sports, and spending time with his family. His family was very important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie; mother, Reva G. Morgan; children, Andrea Hill, Rebecca Williams, Michael Morgan, Kyle Morgan, Nicholas Morgan, Amber Mayhew, Jeremiah Heaton, Colton Heaton, Cheyenne Heaton; ten grandchildren; brothers, Russell Morgan, Randy Morgan; and sisters, Sydnee Baxter, and Karen Huff. Preceeded in death by father, Fay Morgan, brother, Wayne Morgan, and his grandparents.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 3, 2011, with burial in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah. Brad will be greatly missed.
Albert "Pete" Ballow
1917-2010
Albert "Pete" Ballow, age 93, passed away December 30, 2010 in Levan, Utah.
He was born February 5, 1917 in Chichuanua, Mexico, to Frank and Bita Escamaya Ballow. He married Melba Stephenson August 12, 1943 in Nephi, Utah.
Pete attended Levan Elementary and Juab High School. He graduated from Salt Lake Barber College in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater, primarily in Okinawa from 1941 to 1945. He was a businessman in Levan since 1945. He worked for the Railroad and had Pete's Barber Shop and Pool Hall along with other businesses in Levan.
Survived by his wife, Melba; sons, Norman (Debra) Ballow and Brad (Betty) Ballow; grandchildren, Chad (Stephanie) Ballow, Don (Brittany) Ballow, Trudy (Jeremy) Strobel, Penny, Aubrey, and Shelbie Ballow; great-grandchildren, Brinley, Kassidy, Preston, Hagen, Kylee, McKiley, and Kayson.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Janice and grandson, Leo Wade; brothers and sisters, Carl, Frank, Edward, Henrietta, John, Robert "Bob", Ellen (Mike).
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011, in the Levan LDS Chapel. Interment in the Levan Cemetery.
