Fred D White
1948~2014


Fred D White, age 66, beloved companion, father, grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor passed away suddenly in his home in Provo, UT with his sweetheart, Sue Grange, from complications due to prostate surgery on November 12, 2014.
Fred was born July 13, 1948, in Richfield, Utah to Ivol Shannon White and Eugenia Erickson White. He grew up in Monroe and moved to Nephi with his family when he was 10. Fred graduated from Juab High School. He married Arlene Sorensen, later divorced, then married Denise Sue Workman, later divorced.  Fred had a full family life that included six children.
Fred worked for Oakland Construction for many years in many different aspects. He was a very hard and dedicated worker who loved to work and was always proud of the work that he did. He loved to camp and spend time with family. He especially enjoyed the holidays and was able to share the holiday spirit as a Santa for many years. His spunky and larger than life personality was enjoyed by all.
Fred is survived by his companion Sue Grange, 5 of his children, Cody (Teri) White, Sonny White, Cory White, Gingerlyn Lindwall (Vincent), Shantell Evans (Gerald); his sister Marcile Gilley, brothers Shannon (Gayle), Ladd (Jesse), Hap (Bonnie), Diane White (Vard deceased) and Keith and Bev Fullmer.  He has 13 grandchildren.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, son, Shane, and his brothers Vard and Steven and grandson Tyler.
Funeral services were held at 11 am Monday November 17, 2014 in the Nephi 1,2,8 LDS Chapel, 222 S 100 East.


Gwen Donna Stephensen
1927~2014


Gwen Donna Tanner Stephensen, age 87, passed away, surrounded by her family, November 12, 2014 in Nephi, Utah.
She was born February 20, 1927 in Loa, Utah to Rutherford Orden and Nina Lucille Painter Tanner. She married Glenn Howard Stephensen in Las Vegas, NV on July 15, 1947 after two weeks of courtship. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple May 19, 1964. They were married for 67 years.
She went to Quish Beauty School in Salt Lake City and received her cosmetology license and did ladies hair for 40 years. She had her own beauty shop in Levan for 32 years. She worked at the Catalina sewing plant and was a supervisor there for 13 years. She worked for Utah American sewing plant for 8 years. She was a member of the LDS church and worked in the Manti Temple for three years. She served in Primary and Sunday School positions and was primary president in Levan.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Brock) Maslonka of Cusick, WA; Eudene (Gary) Anderson of Nephi, UT; Linda (Allen) Dixon of New Meadow, ID; Rex (Teresa) Stephensen of Nephi, UT; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren,  and  4 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their thanks to all those who have worked so diligently to help make our Mother comfortable and the love and care given to our mother at the Red Cliffs Assisted Living.
Funeral services were held at 11 am Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in the Levan LDS chapel. Interment in the Levan Town Cemetery.
