SMOKING REMAINS OF A MOTOR HOME • Above fireman checks out the remains of a motor home after it was hit by a train at the crossing east of the Ashgrove Cement Plant west of Nephi on Highway 132. Myrtle Nickols, age 69, died at the scene and her husband Joseph Nichols, age 77, was transferred to the University of Utah Burn Center in Salt Lake. MISS UTAH STATE FAIR PAGEANT • Miss Juab County Lynley Peterson, daughter of Rhett and Ann Peterson of Nephi, was crowned 1st Attendant to the 2004 Miss Utah State Fair, Julia Bachison, daughter of Cliff and Marie Bachison of North Ogden, who is a student at Weber State University. Lynley is a student at Southern Utah University. She performed a piano solo by Chopin. She received an $800 scholarship. Both the queen and her attendant will preside over Fair activities through the duration of the Fair. Bachison will represent the Utah State Fair at Miss Utah in June 2005.
