Marion and Fern Wankier will serve as this year's Levan Town Pioneer Day Grand Marshals.
Marion was born to Joseph Wankier and Carrie Anderson Wankier on September 3rd, the second of six sons and two daughters. Fern was born September 8th, the only daughter of Schuyler Patterson Taylor and Christine Winter Taylor. She had 4 older brothers.
They were married July 1, 1946 in the Manti Utah temple. They just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Both Fern and Marion were born, raised and have lived in Levan their entire lives. They have been very excited and proactive for past and future improvements in the great town of Levan. They want people to know that Levan is a great place to live and grow a family.
Marion served on the town council three different occasions and has been involved in many other aspects of Levan town.
Fern and Marion enjoy working together, whether it's serving diligently over more than 10 years in the Manti Temple, or serving in many of their church callings.
They have 3 children, 12 grand children and 21 great grandchildren.
