Betty Paxman
1938-2009
Norma Betty Andersen Paxman, known by friends and family as Betty, age 71, passed away at her home in Provo, Utah on July 6, 2009 of natural causes. She was born March 28, 1938 in Levan, Utah to Niels Clawsen and Norma Marnie Winter Andersen. She married George William Paxman of Nephi on September 12, 1958, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were later divorced.
Betty was known for her love of gardening and as an excellent cook. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and animals. She was also an excellent artist and spent many enjoyable hours painting.
Betty is survived by her children, Robert George (Salee) Paxman of Springville, Utah; Barbara Ann (Steve) Hannett of Spanish Fork, Utah; Connie (Shawn) Hannett of Salt Lake City, Utah; Jack William Paxman of Salt Lake City, Utah; Andrea Johnson of Nephi, Utah; and Valerie Belknap of Nephi, Utah; her bothers Neil Dee (Bessie, deceased) Andersen of Keaau, Hawaii; Rex Carl (Beverly) Andersen of Sandy, Utah; Earl Lee (Peggy) Andersen, of Lakeland, Florida; fourteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Betty was preceded in death by her son, David Paxman, and her parents Niels Clawsen and Norma Marnie Winter Andersen.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Nephi First Ward Chapel. Interment at Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.

Mary Aagard
1917-2009
Mary Fox Aagard, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at the Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi, Utah on Wednesday July 8, 2009 from a heart attack.
Mary was born December 8, 1917 in Bordeaux, France. Her parents are Harry and Suzanne Castang Fox. On July 7, 1937 she married John Howarth Aagard in Fountain Green, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on January 10, 1938.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving valiantly in many ward and stake callings during her lifetime. She was also very active in PTA and community programs. Mary taught 4-H for over 40 years. She was extremely talented, excelling in sewing, knitting, crochet, tole painting and the fine art of porcelain dolls. Her greatest talent was her ability to love and serve those around her. She is survived by her children, Joyce (Bruce) Westenskow, Moroni, UT; Jerry (and family) Aagard of Powell, WY; John Kent Aagard, Salt Lake City, UT; Janece (Lee) Labrum, Carrollton, TX; Nellie (Jim) Stephensen, Nephi, UT; Doris (Kimo) Coray, Mona, UT; Roger (Denice) Aagard, Fountain Green, UT; 53 grandchildren; 171 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Quinten “Bob” Fox, Helper, UT; sister, Faye (Bill) Branson, Helper, UT; sister-in-law, Millie Fox, Helper, UT.
Preceded in death by her husband, John Howarth Aagard; granddaughter, Ashley Aagard; grandson, Lewis Bruce Westenskow; parents, Harry and Suzanne Castang Fox; brothers, William Kent (Bill) Fox, Harry Fox; sister, Janice Fox; sister-in-law, Al Fox.

Douglas Thompson Carroll
1947-2009
Douglas Carroll passed away June 8, 2009 at his home in Nephi, Utah. He was born July 16, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clarence and Beth Thompson Carroll. He became a truck driver at a young age and continued until his retirement last year. He loved being on the road and had a passion for trucking. He married Kay Anderson on May 22, 1982 and they were later sealed in the Manti Temple on July 5, 1994.
He is survived by his wife Kay, sons Brad (Stacy), Brace (April), and 4 grandsons, Kyson, Daxton, Drake, and Ethan. He is also survived by his brother Stephen and sisters Diann, Marsha, and Linda. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi Utah
Larry V. Kay
1939-2009
Larry Vance Kay, our remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend was tragically taken home on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the age of 69.
Larry is the son of Spencer Joseph and Mabel Fowkes Kay. He was born August 5, 1939 in Mona, Utah. On August 21, 1959 he married JoAnn Rosenlund. Larry’s greatest joy was loving his family and his animals and spending time on the farm with his brother Allan. Larry loved rodeo and working in his yard. Though he had many physical challenges, it never slowed him down.
Larry is survived by his wife JoAnn; daughters, Jodi (Jeff) Chase; Kim Kay; son, Rodney Kay; grandchildren, Jordan (Brandon), Kassie, and Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joseph, Brent, and Douglas; his grandson, Ryan Kay.
A special thanks to all of his friends and his special nurses from Home Health.
Larry requested graveside services, which will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Mona Cemetery. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North Nephi, UT.
Larry, you were always an inspiration and will be greatly missed. We love you.
