Leora D. Christensen
1917~2013


Norma Leora Day Christensen, age 95, passed away June 18, 2013 in Levan, Utah.
She was born October 18, 1917 in Fillmore, Utah to Philander Barret and Alta Lambert Day. She married George Lyman Christensen November 7, 1936 in Fillmore, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. She loved her calling in the extraction program. She served a mission to the Montana Billings Mission. She enjoyed her garden and loved to share it with others. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survived by her children, Bryce Leon (Sharon) Christensen; Terry Lee (Lynn) Christensen; daughter-in-law, Louise Christensen; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, George Lyman Christensen; son, Lloyd Lyman Christensen; a baby daughter; brother, Phil Day; and sister, Merl Day.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 21, 2013 in the Levan LDS Chapel. Interment in the Levan Cemetery.


Ronald Brown
1932-2013


Ronald Arthur Brown, 81, passed away June 19, 2013, at home. He was born May 29, 1932 at his aunt's home in Nephi, UT, to Douglas Marion Brown and Mildred Irene Croff. He married Illa Jean Sherwood from Levan, UT, on November 6, 1954 in Nephi and they were sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on July 26, 1960. Ron graduated from Juab High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Mountain Bell Telephone System in 1985 after 30 years of service, and then worked for Mid-state Consultants retiring from there after 10 years of service.
Ron is survived by his wife, Illa, and five children:  Craig and Karie Brown of Durango, CO; Ronda and Jack Taylor of Saint George, UT; Marion (Merv) and Mary Brown of Rexburg, ID; Kandra and Brad Mills of Saint George, UT; Melanie and John Gardiner of Clinton, UT, seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings Sonia Liddard, Betty (Kirk) Sanders, and Terry (Lorraine) Brown.
He is preceded in death by his brother Tommy Brown,his sister and brother-in-law Marion and Arthur Johnson, and his brother-in-law Ray Liddard.
Graveside services were held Saturday at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, UT.
