The sealed bids for cemetery caretaker were opened and the bid was awarded to Don Ipson. There were five bids ranging from $500 to $375 per month.

The preliminary budget for the coming year was available for comment. Sandy Brooks asked if the amount for the cemetery included improvements. The mayor said that amount was only to cover the wages to care for the cemetery.

The agenda for the next meeting will include: the budget for 1999-2000 will be opened and amended, approve the budget for 2000-2001, the audit, and the trees around the cemetery.
