On March 14, 2000, the Town Council of Mona, Utah passed a motion to accept the petition of Gordon B. Linton and Gayle L. Linton a.k.a. Public Hearings Manti-La Sal National Forest

The Manti-La Sal National Forest will hold two public hearings to gather testimony regarding the Roadless Area Conservation proposed rule. The first hearing is scheduled June 7, 2000, at the Carbon County Courthouse, 120 East Main Street, in Price, Utah from 1-5:30 PM. The second hearing is scheduled June 29, 2000, at the Sanpete County Courthouse, from 2 to 9 p.m. at 160 North Main, in Manti, Utah. A court reporter will be present at both hearings. Testimony will be taken in order of appearance on a first come basis and will be limited to three minutes per individual.

Your comments will be used to identify needed changes and refinements in the proposal and environmental analysis.

All written comments concerning the Roadless Area Conservation Proposed Rule Draft Environmental Impact Statement should be received on or before July 17, 2000.
