Clara Park
1927 ~ 2017

Clara Daphne Park (Auntie) passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday May 4, 2017 surrounded by her family. Daphne was born in Nephi, Utah to her parents Stanzius Passey and Nellie Fern Park on April 26, 1927.

Daphne graduated from Juab High School in 1945. She was recognized as one of the Faculty Favorites and participated in both the newspaper and the yearbook committee. She worked for the Bell Company where she made many life-long friends. After retirement, she moved in with her niece, Melanie Smith, to care for her children and has become the corner stone of their family. Daphne was a devout member of the LDS Church and loved temple work and visiting teaching. She was Christ-like in her generosity, selflessness, kindness and her quiet, consistent love. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Daphne is survived by her sister Melba Jensen, sisters-in-law Ann Park and Theral Park, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Kenneth and Eva Park, Denee and Ray Stephenson, Elbert Jensen, Neil Park, Boyd Park, Sharon and Michael Smith.

The family would like to thank Elevation Hospice for their care, love and support through the last six months of Daphne’s life. A special thank you to Daphne’s two CNA’s Julieta and Fernanda, nurses Kim, Bonnie and Beverly; social worker Amy and chaplain Juliann. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for becoming our family and taking care of our Auntie with love and dignity.
