  • Filing for county offices yields some surprises

Those who filed for county offices at the office of the county clerk/treasurer yielded a few surprises.
One of those is that Pat Ingram, county clerk/auditor did not file and neither did Alden Orme, Juab County Sheriff.
Chad Winn, county commission chairman, had announced earlier that he did not intend to file.
Those filing for Juab County Commissioner are:
For Commissioner A slot: Bob Garrett, (D), John Ford (R) and Clinton Painter (R); For Commissioner B slot, Rick Carlton, incumbent, (R) and Neil Cook (R).
Other county offices are, as follows:
Juab County Assessor, Shirl Nichols, unopposed incumbent, (R);
Juab County Attorney, Jared Eldridge, incumbent, (R), and Tate Bennett, (Independent Amercan Party);
Juab County Sheriff, Mike Tischner (R) and Douglas Anderson (D);
Juab County Clerk/Auditor, Sharon Jarrett (D), and Alaina Lofgran (R);
Juab County Recorder, Craig Sperry, incumbent, (R), and Robert Williams (D);
Juab County Treasurer, DeEtte Worthington, unopposed incumbent, (R).
Juab School District #4, Tracy Olsen (incumbent) and Sara Cameron.
Juab School District #5, Linda Hanks unopposed incumbent.
Tintic School District #4, Janice Boswell.
Tintic School District #5, John "Jingles" Reil.
Juab State School Board #3, Garrick Hall, Levan.
Other state residents may also file for the state school board. Hall was the individual who filed in Juab County.
