GONE! Nephi's old Venice
Theatre in now just a pile of bricks. The building has
been just a shell since a fire gutted it in November
1983 and was mostly demolished during the past two
years, only the brick facade remained. On Monday,
March 5th, the facade was brought down by a cable
hooked to a track-hoe. 4-D Plumbing, the present owner
of the ground has not decided what it will do with the
property as of Tuesday.
BREAKING THE SPEED LIMIT
• You will see this UHP speed cart around town
for the next few days. Above Officer Randy Gould of
the Nephi City Police sets it up on Main Street and
the speed of the truck approaching it shows why it is
necessary. "Give our kids a brake" is a national
slogan and it's good policy here in Nephi.
