Samuel Thomson
1992 ~ 2014


Samuel LeGrand Thomson, age 22, died in Nephi, Utah, on Monday, December 29, 2014. Born March 17, 1992, in Orem, Utah, Sam lived in Provo before relocating with his family to Nephi at the age of two.
Sam attended Juab High School where he participated in choir and theatre, served on the yearbook committee, and was a member of the National Honor Society. He served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Florida Orlando Mission. He attended Brigham Young University and was employed by BYU radio as an audio engineer. Sam had a passion for creating visual media, producing many short films and computer generated images and winning 3rd place at the BYU Zoobie Film Festival. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle, and a dear friend to countless others.
Sam is survived by his father, Tracy Maynes Thomson, his mother, Margaret Thomson, his brother, Tracy Joseph Thomson, his sister-in-law, Alicia Sue Thomson, and his nephew, James Henry Thomson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 3, 2015.
