Nephi City needed more money to finish the crack
sealing project at the city airport and so the city
council had to seek a supplemental grant.
"The grant was sought and received from the Utah
Division of Aeronautics," said Randy McKnight, city
administrator.
The extra funding was needed, he said, because the
crack sealing portion of the maintenance work was more
extensive than anticipated. Because of this, the extra
grant money was requested and had been approved.
"The work was done by Creamer and Noble Engineers,"
said McKnight.
Because of the more extensive work needed to finish
the crack and seal job at the airport, said McKnight, the
city council would need to approve an amendment to the
contract for their services.
"The amendment is required to cover the additional
work done on the runway," he said.
Council members complied and approved the
amendment.
