Glen Whiting
Glen Whiting, age 70, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23,
2002, at Davis Hospital due to complications of
pneumonia.
He was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Nephi, Utah, to Edward
Monroe and Anna Lena Nelson Whiting.
Glen married Connie Ann Proctor on May 13, 1958, in Elko,
Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake
LDS Temple on June 18, 1964.
He was a member of the Clearfield 9th Ward and served as
ward clerk for 12 years, high council for five years and
served a LDS mission with his wife to the Little Rock,
Arkansas area.
He loved watching BYU football, JAZZ basketball,
backpacking, white water rafting, playing pool.
He is survived by his wife Connie; one son, Doug (Cassie)
Whiting of West Haven; four daughters, Leslie Stringham
(Rich Fairbanks), Las Vegas, Nevada, Teresa (Jeff) Fulton of
Roy, Shauna (Darryl) Jones of Akron, Ohio, Charlotte (Ben)
Henderson of Sunset; 14 grandchildren; 7 brothers, Oris,
Merle, Delose, Norman, Bud, Blaine, Raymond, and one sister,
Deloris Hanks. He was preceded in death by parents, two
sisters, Ruby and Selma Green.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002,
at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 400 North
Main. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 9:45 to
10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clearfield City
Cemetery.
