Elizabeth Harris Winn
1926-2013


FERRON – Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Elizabeth Harris Winn, age 87, passed away while holding the hand of one of her loving granddaughters on October 6, 2013 in Ferron, Utah. Elizabeth was born February 10, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Richard and Edna Kendall Harris. She married Keith Dean Winn on August 4, 1944 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Being born and raised in Salt Lake City, Elizabeth graduated from South High School in 1943. Elizabeth and Keith lived in Nephi until 1954. After living there for 10 years, they moved to Magna and lived there until 1973. They then moved to Ferron where they owned and operated the San Rafael Ranch in Molen. Elizabeth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Keith served a mission together in Oceola, Iowa in 1987. She also served in many other capacities within the church including being an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple. She also loved music and served as a chorister in many auxiliaries. Her hobbies included buying real estate, baking bread, tying quilts, playing the piano, and reading.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Keith; eight of her nine children: Katherine (Grant) Jenkins of Ferron, Richard Larry Winn of Ferron, Melody (Merlin) Weber of Ferron, Heidi (Gil) Bowden of Ferron, Sherry (Dennis) Worwood of Ferron, Travis (Julie) Winn of Ferron, Kash (Valerie) Winn of Ferron, and Cody (Maria) Winn of Douglas, Arizona; 46 grandchildren; and 94 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Keith Harris Winn; granddaughter, Amber Rose Jenkins; sister, Ruth Duncan; brother, Richard Harris; and an infant brother, Collin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ferron LDS Stake Center (555 South 400 West). There will be a viewing Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Stake Center and on Friday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery. DeMont E. Horrocks
1935~2013


DeMont Edward Horrocks, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at his home in Nephi, Utah. He was born April 10, 1935 in Springville, Utah. He was the second child of five children, and the first son of LeRoy DeMont Horrocks and Ida Orthella Durrant.
DeMont grew up in Salem, Utah and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He served a two year mission in Montana for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
DeMont married and was sealed for time and all eternity to Carrol Rae Hancock, on November 9, 1961 in the Manti LDS Temple. They are the parents of three children. They have lived in Nephi since March of 1964.
DeMont worked as a shop foreman for Rancho Trailers for many years before going to work for Hercules. He retired in 1996.
DeMont was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings throughout his life.
DeMont is survived by his wife, his children Lori (Mason) Warnick, Nephi, Utah; Melvin (Fawn) Horrocks, Green River, Wyoming; and John (Mary) Horrocks, Nephi, Utah; thirteen grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Hilda Houtz, Devona Warner, and Orthella (John) Halladay; and his brother, Howard (Janice) Horrocks, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; Keith Houtz (brother-in-law); and Bob Warner (brother-in-law).
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Nephi 2nd Ward Chapel at 222 South 100 East, Nephi, Utah. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.


Stacey Don Francom
1964-2013


Stacey Don Francom passed away September 25, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 49 from the devastating affects of melanoma cancer.
Stacey was born April 28, 1964 in Elko, Nevada to W. Don and Lenore Francom. He lived the past 35 years in Las Vegas where he graduated from Bonanza High School in 1982. He worked the past 15 years as foreman of the hot plant for Wells Cargo Construction.
Stacey was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was blessed with a big heart and many talents, one of which was making friends easily and he spent many hours helping others.
He married Liz Barstis, later divorced. He married Donna Ono and together they had two beautiful daughters.
Stacey is survived by his wife Donna, his two daughters, Nicole and Taylor Francom, Las Vegas, NV; parents, W. Don and Lenore Francom, Levan, UT; sister, Jamie (Steven) Standley, Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Corey (April) Francom, Mansfield, Texas; and many extended family members.
A public viewing and private service were held September 19, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Internment in Fountain Green, UT City Cemetery.
