The theme for Monday was "Rise above to be drug free." Each student launched a balloon with the theme and the school's name. There was a lot of excitement. There is something planned for each of the days this week. Tuesday's theme is "Smarties' don't do drugs." Wednesday the theme is "Chews' to be drug free." Thursday's theme is "Be drug free 'Now & Later.'" Each of these days the students will receive a bookmark with information that will help them be drug free: Things to do instead of drugs; twenty ways to say no to drugs; and seven reasons drugs are never the answer. Friday the theme is "Band together to be drug free." Each student will pledge to be drug free. We will then band the pledges together to be displayed in the school as a reminder of their commitment to be drug free.
