The Juab County Fair will host the Miss Juab County Scholarship Pageant on Monday, August 6, 2018. The pageant will be held at the Juab Jr. High School at 7 pm. It will be a night filled with lots of talent and entertainment. The public is invited to attend, free of charge. Six contestants will vie for the title. Claire Wright is the daughter of Kasey and KristiAnn Wright. Claire will perform a vocal solo for her talent entitled “Marry Me”. Claire plans on attending Snow College in the fall, and hopes to major in nursing. Claire also plans on teaching English in Thailand in 2019. Ashley Petersen is the daughter of Dr. Doug and Fran Petersen. Ashley will perform a vocal solo for her talent entitled “Love me, Love me not”. Ashley is a graduate from Juab High School and will be attending Utah State University this fall. Paige Anderson is the daughter of Scott and Daleen Anderson. Paige will perform a piano solo for her talent entitled “Bella’s Lullaby”. Paige plans to serve an LDS Mission and attend BYU to pursue a degree as a nurse anesthetist. Paige also plans on getting married and having a family. Kysia Poulsen is the daughter of Chad and Heather Poulsen. Kysia will perform a piano solo for her talent entitled “Polonaise in G minor”. Kysia plans on attending Dixie State University this fall to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing and to serve an LDS Mission. Chaylee Allan is the daughter of Josh and Mandee Allan, Chaylee will perform a fiddle solo for her talent entitled “Orange Blossom Special”. Chaylee plans on attending Snow College this fall to finish her associates degree, then Weber State University to become a radiology technician specializing in ultrasound technology. Hannah Robins is the daughter of Dr. Rick and Heidi Robins. Hannah will perform a piano solo for her talent entitled “Dragon Fly”. Hannah currently attends Southern Utah University on a basketball scholarship and plans on majoring in elementary education to teach 5th grade. The contestants will perform their talent, model evening gowns, spotlight “Fair Hall of Fame”, and answer an on-stage question at the pageant. Saige Cowan, Miss Juab County 2017, and her attendants, Kemri Buck and Marissa Richardson will crown the new royalty.
