
The Juab County Fair will host the Miss Juab County Scholarship Pageant on Monday, August 9, when the new Miss Juab County 2010 will be crowned. The pageant will be held in the Junior High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend, free of charge.
Eleven contestants will vie for the title:
Teisha Shepherd is the daughter of David and Linda Shepherd of Levan. She will give a poetry presentation for her talent. Teisha is attending Utah State University and will graduate with her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education in Spring 2011. She plans on continuing with her Masters Degree to become a high school counselor.
Ashley Jessup is the daughter of David and Paula Dawn Burgess and Norman Jay Jessup of Nephi. Her talent will be a vocal performance. Ashley plans on being a diesel technician and an opera singer.
Kassandra Christensen is the daughter of Lori Christensen and Mike Fowkes of Nephi. She plans on going to college and majoring in Child Care Development with a minor in dance.
Camee Coombs is the daughter of Kelly and Jamie Coombs of Nephi. Camee will play a medley on the fiddle. She plans on finishing her Associate Degree this fall and then pursuing a teaching degree. She also wants to obtain a Masters Degree in guidance counseling.
Tiffany Manseau is the daughter of Robert and Diana Manseau of Mona. She will compose and narrate a horse riding video for her talent. Tiffany plans on attending Utah Valley University to achieve her goal to become a chiropractor for large animals.
Camie Jacobsen is the daughter of Wade and Diane Jacobsen of Nephi. She will perform a dance for her talent. She plans on attending Utah State University to become an elementary school teacher. She would also like to become a member of the dance team at USU and someday open up her own dance shop.
Caley Ann Bussian is the daughter of Bryan and Linda Bussian of Mona. Her talent will be a vocal solo. Her plans are to attend Frontier School of the Bible in Wyoming. She would like to earn a Masters Degree in English and become a published writer and editor.
Madison Finch is the daughter of Brock Finch and Mario and Paula Montanez of Mona. Madison will perform a lyrical jazz dance. She plans on attending the University of Utah to get her Masters Degree in Nursing.
MaKenzie Benson is the daughter of Sam and Shelly Richardson of Nephi. Shelly will perform a piano solo. She will be attending Snow College this fall, pursuing a major in psychology.
Emma Clement is the daughter of Ondi and Tina Williamson of Nephi. Emma will perform a vocal solo for her talent. She plans on pursuing a degree in elementary education from Dixie State College this fall.
Danielle Memmott is the daughter of Chris and Lynelle Memmott of Nephi. Her talent will be a photography presentation. Danielle plans on attending Dixie State College to study respiratory therapy.
The contestants will perform their talent, model evening gowns and 'Fairy Tale Character' wear, give a personal thought and answer an on stage question at the pageant. Jaden Jackson, Miss Juab County 2009, and her attendants, Merissa Stutz and Sadie Connelley will crown the new royalty. It will be a night filled with lots of talent and entertainment as we begin the 2010 Juab County Fair week.
The new 2010 royalty will reign over the fair week festivities, August 10-14.
