Relay for Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to bring people together to raise money to help prevent cancer, save lives and diminish suffering from cancer, help raise awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and patient support. It will be held August 6 and 7 at the Juab High School Football field. Opening Ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m. this includes a survivor ceremony which honors cancer survivors and their caregivers. Survivors may register from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. If you have questions about survivors contact Peggy Wankier at 623-1771. The evening will include a variety program at 7:30 p.m. There will also be fun and games throughout the evening including balloons, face painting, and door prizes. There is also a concessions stand with hamburger, nachos and many other yummy treats. Bring your family and take a night off from cooking. The highlight of the evening is the Luminary Ceremony which will start at 9:30 p.m. and honors those who have lost their battle with cancer, those who have survived cancer, and those who are valiantly fighting the disease.
