Marc E. Vest
1923~2013
Marc Earl Vest, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2013 at his home in Mona, Utah with his family by his side.
He was born September 14, 1923 to Robert Earl and Sadie Kay Vest in Mona, Utah. He married Myrtle Kay on June 3, 1946 in the Manti Temple.
He served in WWII with the Navy. He worked at Thermoid (N.R.P.) and retired after 35 years. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Bishop of the Mona Ward for 13 years. He also served as a temple ordinance worker in the Manti Temple with his wife for 10 years.
Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Myrtle; three daughters, Lois (Mike) Pay of Mona, Susan Wilkerson of Mona, and Diane (Carl) Lewellyn of Nephi; 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, half brother, sister, and two grandchildren, Melinda Pay Baldwin and Kelly Wilkerson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 18, 2013 in the Mona 1st Ward Chapel, 100 North 100 East. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North Nephi, Utah and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Mona City Cemetery. |
