William (Bill) Glen Cowan, 84, joyfully moved on to his next adventure, July 13, 2011.
Bill was born September 15, 1926 in Nephi, Utah. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married his favorite dancing partner and sweetheart, Gwen Shepherd, August 7, 1947, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He worked as a salesman at Standard Oil in Nephi and Fillmore and as a meat cutter in Dugway for 10 years. After returning to Nephi, Bill and with his wife opened Bill's Chevron, and Cowan's Café, where he made lasting relationships with those to whom he associated. Surviving several heart attacks and strokes, he wouldn't stop working and began "Bill's Tilling" where he enjoyed tilling yards and visiting with his costumers. He loved the outdoors and golfing with his buddies. He entertained everyone with his whit and keen sense of humor throughout his entire life. He absolutely loved teasing his family, and was very proud of each one of them. He had an amazing outlook on life and taught us to enjoy every single day. He is loved and will be missed by many.

Cowan; children, Glen Cowan, Tony Cowan, Peggy (Alex) Johnson, all of Nephi; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marge (Raymond) Peterson of Beaver Dam, Arizona, Joyce (Willis) Shepherd of Magna, Utah, and Bonnie Olsen of Fountain Green, Utah.
