  • Jeff Sanders has been selected to be the Grand Marshal of the 76th Mammoth Parade.

Jeff was born July 20, 1965 to Kirk and Betty Brown Sanders. He has spent his entire life living, working and playing in Juab County. Jeff is married to Katrina McDonald Sanders and has three beautiful children, Makai, Makayla, and Ryland. They are the love of his life.
Jeff graduated from Juab High School in 1983 and shortly thereafter, served an LDS Mission in the Missouri Independence Mission. Upon returning he furthered his education in college where he majored in Natural Science and minored in psychology and philosophy. During his college career Jeff maintained a GPA of 3.933 and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Jeff has always enjoyed working with the local youth, coaching them in basketball and baseball for many years. Last year he helped coach the Cal Ripkin All-Star team to a State Championship with a record of 22-1. He has also helped coach two undefeated Jr. Jazz basketball teams to city league championships. He has been a member of the Juab County Fair Board for the last 9 years. He started the Juab County ATV Rodeo and enjoys watching the competition between riders. Jeff has helped the Ute Stampede parade committees organize and run the parades for the past 25 years. He has also been instrumental in starting and organizing the Nephi City Christmas Parade. He has served on the Yuba Reservoir Regional Advisory Committee and the Juab County Regional Advisory Committee helping map public use of our natural resources for the next ten years. Jeff was one of the three founding members of Nephi's first ATV Club. He has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Nephi Gun Club. He is a Utah State Round Robin State Champion trap shooter and has won Championships all across the state. He is also a former Canyon Hills Men's Association golf Champion. Jeff won the State championship Land, Pasture and Range Judging contest and went on to compete in the world championship in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where his team placed 6th in the world.
Jeff is proud of our county and its little communities and has helped bring them to national prominence by working to have Polaris Industries shoot all of the photography for their 2000 model year ATV brochure in Juab County. Jeff has also brought the television show At Your Leisure to Nephi City where it highlighted the Nephi Gun Club and the Canyon Hills Golf Course.
Jeff enjoys raising and training bird dogs and guiding with them. He has guided for hunters from across the country here in the state and his dogs have been featured on television sporting shows. Jeff has been a local businessman his entire life and has cherished the friendships made with his customers at his family business, Garrett Honda.
