- Duane Anderson named Grand Marshal of the Western Parade
|

K. Duane Anderson was born and raised in Wales, Utah. He graduated from Moroni High School. He married Helen Anderson in 1951. They have 7 children, 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Duane worked construction for over 40 years. He was the superintendent on the remodel of the Juab County Building and the buildings at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes. He has been a member of the Carpenter’s Union #1468 for more than 40 years.
Duane joined the Nephi Nebo Posse in 1965 and was a member for more than 20 years.
Duane and Helen owned and operated The Flaming Rock Restaurant and Anderson Western Wear in Nephi for years until they decided to close their business to relax a little. Even though Duane still works hard with raising cattle, which is his passion, he considers that relaxing.
When not out playing with the cows, you might find Duane in China, on a cruise to Mexico or in Mesquite. |
