GROUND BREAKING • Ground breaking for the new Houweling's Tomato growing operation in Mona took place on April 24. Rick Carlton, Juab County Commissioner, left; Paul Murphy, Rocky Mountain Power; Lt. Governor Spencer Cox, and Casey Houweling, proprietor, Houweling's Tomatoes, turn the ground at the site. The 28.3 acre farm will utilize the proprietary Ultra-Clima growing system and receive waste heat and carbon dioxide from a near-by natural gas fired power plant. The operation is scheduled to be up and running by the 1st of October.
