Vaudis Goodall Howarth
1934- 2014

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother left us on April 25, 2014 in Provo, Utah for a long awaited reunion with her daughter, Deanna.   At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her family members.
She was born December 1, 1934 in Santaquin, Utah to Parley Mangus and Laura Jerman Goodall.  She was the youngest of four children.  She married William Boyd Howarth on June 1, 1954 at her parents' home.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Vaudis and her loving companion have lived their entire married life in Nephi, Utah.  She enjoyed serving others, having worked for many years in the local grocery store meat department.  She loved her job and enjoyed her friends and making new acquaintances. She was active in various civic projects in Nephi, including the Nautilus Literary Club. Her family was her greatest joy.  She never missed an opportunity to support them, spending many hours at sporting events, dance recitals, and school activities.  To all in her family, she was their biggest fan.
She loved her Savior and was active in the LDS Church, serving many years in the Relief Society Presidency at both the ward and stake levels.  In addition, she served a Church Service Mission with her eternal companion at the Employment Resource Center.
Vaudis is survived by her husband and sons Steven (Kerry) and James (Debbie).  She was a beloved mother figure to eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth (Verness) Andrews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, grandchild, sister, and brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Nephi 1st Ward, 222 South 100 East, Nephi, Utah. Additional viewings will be held at the church from 9:45 am to 10:45 am prior to the funeral service.  Interment will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi.
