Connie Whiting
1939-2006
Connie Ann Proctor Whiting, at age 67, found her
eternal peace and was escorted into Heaven by the angels on
Friday, April 14, 2006. She passed away as a result of a
highway rollover accident while visiting her daughter in
Ohio.
She was born March 29, 1939 in Panguitch, Utah, the
oldest daughter of George and Thora Proctor. She was a
resident of Clearfield, Utah, for over 45 years. Connie was
an extraordinary daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother
and friend. She was truly and Angel on Earth. Connie was
married to Glen Whiting on May 13, 1958 in Elko, Nevada, and
their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in
June 18, 1964.
She was truly a caring person and made friends
wherever she went. Family and friends were her main passion
and laughter was her best medicine. She enjoyed helping
others, painting, dancing, music, sewing, her dog, Holly,
and taking care of her 93 year old father who still lives in
Panguitch. Her life was spending time with her children and
grandchildren. She spent many years driving the Senior
Citizen Van in Clearfield, Utah.
Connie was an active member of the Clearfield LDS 9th
Ward. In 2001, Connie and Glen served an LDS Mission in the
Little Rock Arkansas Mission.
Connie is survived by four daughters and a son, Leslie
Stringham (Richard Fairbanks), Las Vegas, NV; Teresa (Jeff)
Fulton, Roy, UT; Doug (Cassie) Whiting, West Haven, UT;
Shauna (Darryl) Jones, Akron, OH; Charlotte (Ben) Henderson,
Sunset, UT; her father, George Proctor, Panguitch, UT; a
sister, Colleen Barlow, West Jordan, UT; two brothers, Ron
Proctor, Cedar City, UT; Jim Proctor, Orem, UT; 13
grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter expected in

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen
Whiting, and her mother, Thora Proctor. She was accompanied
to her eternal resting place with her sweet, 11 year old
granddaughter, Alexandra Jones.
