JUAB COUNTY 1ST BABY OF THE YEAR • Andyn Christensen is the 1st baby of 2013 born in Juab County. Andyn weighed only 5 pounds 8 ounces and was born early. The proud parents are Cole and Jileesa Christensen of Payson. Andyn is the first child for the couple.
It's a boy! Andyn Cole Christensen is the first 2013 Baby!
Central Valley Medical Center welcomed the first baby of the New Year to be born in Juab County on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
Andyn Cole Christensen was not due to arrive until late January but fooled everyone and made his arrival three weeks early! Little Andyn weighed in at only 5 pounds 8 ounces. Due to his premature arrival he had respiratory complications and was later transported to Intermountain Medical Center, in Murray.
The proud parents are Cole and Jileesa Christensen of Payson. Andyn is the first child for the couple.
"This is always a fun time to have a baby. The staff get excited about the contest and love to participate in any way they can to make it a special event," noted Rachelle Benson, RN, Labor and Delivery Coordinator.
The hospital donated a case of diapers, formula, wipes, lotion and various other baby supplies, along with a $400 discount on the hospital bill.
