The Juab County Sheriff’s Office spearheaded the first annual Shop with a Cop event held on Saturday, December 14.

Officers from the sheriff’s office, Nephi City Police, Utah Highway Patrol, Utah State Parks and the Bureau of Land Management were able to take 57 kids from our area shopping at Walmart in Payson for gifts for themselves and their families. They also bought a gift for elderly individuals living in care centers in Juab County.

The Nephi Lions Club provided breakfast for everyone and dispatchers, spouses, friends and family helped as support teams by taking photos, wrapping gifts and assisting officers in shopping with the kids.

This was a great experience for everyone involved and will continue to bring smiles to those who participated.
