Lorraine Nez-Tsosie Swenson
July 11, 1946 - December 1, 2013
Lorraine Nez-Tsosie Swenson passed away on December 1, 2013 surrounded by her family at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah.
She is survived by her husband, Kris Swenson, her foster father, Joseph Barres Jenkins and her children, John (Jan) Bozzuto, Marlene Bozzuto (Patrick), Norma (Kendall) Nielsen, Rosalina (Braden) Barrett, Kayleen Bozzuto (Armando), and 8 grandchildren.
Lorraine was a kind, loving wife and mother. Her family was always her top priority. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and art. She was a hard worker and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was born in Tuba City, Arizona, and she was raised in Nephi, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She will be deeply missed by all those who have been blessed to know her.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, Hunter and Bertha Nez-Tsosie, and foster mother, Norma Jenkins, daughter Corrine, and 3 sisters, Ione, Askee, and Jean Nez-Tsosie. She is survived by her brothers, John Tsosie, Clyde (Bertha) Tsosie, and sisters Lusita Johnson, Maria Wilson, Bessie Kane and Louise Martin, and step-sisters, Rena Dixon and Stella Preston, and 27 nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, December 5th at 9:00 am, and funeral services to follow at 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 2801 W 600 N, Provo, Utah.
She will be transported to and buried at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah, at 12:30 p.m. located at 1250 N 450 E, Nephi, Utah.
The Internment will be followed by a Luncheon from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at the LDS Church located at 2801 W 600 N, Provo, Utah.
June Davis Maughan
June 3, 1947–November 27, 2013
June Lee Davis Maughan died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 after a long illness. June was born in Portland, Oregon June 3, 1947. She was the mother of four children. She married Russell S. Maughan in 1990. She lived in Santaquin and Eureka, Utah and spent the latest years of her life in Springville and Nephi. She loved animals and making hand crafted gifts. Those that knew June loved her warm generous spirit and friendly nature. She loved to be loved and shared her loved for others by telling them at every opportunity. June joined the LDS Church, and with the help of caregivers and loved ones, participated in temple work, which enriched her life and gave her strength. She will be deeply missed.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
