Bertha Ross
1917-2010


Bertha Eileen Walker Ross, age 93, peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father, December 15, 2010 in Nephi, Utah.
She was born July 31, 1917 in Canada to Leonard and Lucy Miller Walker. She married Dana C. Ross June 29, 1935. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Bertha was active in the LDS Church. She served in many callings and served a mission in the California Ventura Mission. She spent many hours in the temple. She loved to travel to see her children and grandchildren. She loved to play in the dirt and enjoyed all of her flowers. She loved to knit and crotchet. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Survived by her children, Sandy (Larry) Thorderson; Rex Ross; Gary (Donna) Ross; Judy (Paul) McPherson; Sherrie (Jim) Moore; 41 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Dana; two sons, Grant and Calvin; one daughter, Eileen; and one grandson, Ben.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 North 400 East. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.


Von Ray Warner
1937-2010


Von Ray Warner, 73, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 in Roy, Utah. He was born August 27, 1937 in Levan to Harold and Lucille. Von grew up in Nephi, Utah, and graduated from Juab High School in 1955. Von married Marilyn Davis in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in the Great Lakes Mission and served in various other callings.
Von received his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base for 38 years, where he worked on the development of the Maverick missile as well as supporting test and evaluation of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Von loved fishing, camping, cycling, skiing and backpacking. He loved building and flying model airplanes. He loved music and played the clarinet in the University of Utah marching band.
Von is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of Roy; five children, David (Melanie) Warner of California City, CA, Sandy (Michael) Anderson of Woods Cross, UT, Lisa of South Ogden, UT, Robert (Wendy) Warner of Tehachapi, CA, Steve (Maren) Warner of Clinton, UT; ten grandchildren: Michael, Jennifer, Jaimee, Lyndsee, Emily, Robyn, Sara, Grant, Elizabeth, Owen; and a sister, Carolynn (Dennis) Van Liew of Lake Forest, CA.
