WELCOMING A HOMETOWN
HERO • Residents of Levan lined the main
street to welcome hometown hero Jerry Shepherd
back from the National Finals Rodeo which was
held in Las Vegas this past week. Shepherd, son
of David and Linda Shepherd of Levan, placed
10th overall in the Bull Riding event, 9th in
the World Standings. Out of 10 rounds, he placed
3rd in the second round scoring 89.5 on his ride
and 4th in the eighth round with a 83.5.
Shepherd, who was a little embarrassed,
according to his wife Jenna, was treated to a
police, ambulance, and fire truck escort down
the main road and later returned to the church
parking lot to sign autographs for his fans.

SENIOR BALL ROYALTY
• The Class of 2005 will hold their Senior
Ball on Saturday, December 18th. Royalty are:
King, Matt Howard, Queen, Janelle Stephensen;
First Court, Devin Belliston and Sarah Clark;
Second Court, Wade Neilsen and Sally Smalley;
Third Court, Cody Larsen and Cierra Worwood. The
floor show will start at 9 p.m., dancing until
midnight.
