After serving Levan Town for six years, Rachelle Bryan resigned as town clerk. Bryan thanked Mayor Robinson and Craig Worwood.

•Mayor Robinson said garbage pick up would now be on Tuesdays. Robinson handed out a report on the cost of garbage service to the Town of Levan for the last fiscal year. Levan had paid $16,152 to the company who picked up the garbage, and $12,050 to the Juab County Dump. Levan now has an agreement with Nephi City to use their old garbage truck. So far, Levan has put $850 in repairs to the hydraulic arm of the truck. It will cost about $50 a week in fuel to operate the truck. Robinson feels that either garbage rates can go down or the garbage system can make the Town a little money. It was suggested that the money made should be put into a fund to purchase a new truck The truck was valued at $20,000 and is fully insured. In the winter months, the employees will drive the garbage truck. In the spring and summer months when utility lines are being laid, some other arrangements will have to be made.

•Levan Cemetery has been expanded by a third it's former size. Mayor Robinson said the expansion should be sufficient for 25 years. The plots will now be for sale. Grass needs to be planted in the cemetery expansion. It was not stated if the new area had been leveled.

•Mayor Robinson read into the minutes the final payment on the 1992 refinancing bond had been paid. The last payment on the bond to the Levan Irrigation Company has also been paid. Robinson suggested refinancing the gas bond to a level payment.

•Delynn Rodeback of Utah Power and Light addressed the Council concerning the deeds to property owned by UP&L on Crooked Lane. Rodeback said quit claim deeds have been prepared and will be delivered to the property owners.

•The meeting schedule of Town Council for 2002 was announced. Meetings will be held the first Wednesday after the 4th of each month at 7 p.m. and after Daylight Savings Time, meetings will be at 8 p.m. The next meeting will be held on January 2, 2002, when the new mayor and council members will be sworn into office.
