Mary Ockey
Mary Isabel Rostron Ockey, age 95, passed away Dec. 16,
2001, in Nephi, Utah.
She was born April 17, 1906, in Moroni, Utah, to John
Thomas Tilby and Mary Ellen Nielson Rostron. She married
Floyd Spencer Ockey June 10, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple
May 17, 1933. He passed away Dec. 7, 1967.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and
served faithfully in many callings. She was a member of the
Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by her children, Floyd E. Ockey of Red
Oak, Texas, Gloria O. Gustin of Nephi, John D. (SueAnne)
Ockey of Ephraim, and Don R. (Julie) Ockey of Payson; 22
grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 14
great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Moulton of
Copperton, and Francis (Jerry) Leek of Moroni. She was
preceded in death by brothers, Zeldon, Virgil, David, and
Ira; sisters, Winona Julian and Hazel Sudweeks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
Dec. 22, 2001, in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100
West. Friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. at the church prior
to services. Interment will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery,
Nephi, Utah.
