Marilyn Fay Worwood
1932 - 2020
Marilyn Fay Worwood, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2020, surrounded by family in Levan, UT. She was born on June 27, 1932, to Mont and Coral Williams in Salina, UT. She was the youngest of four children.
She married the love of her life, Karl Woorwood, on July 14, 1952. Together they raised five children, three boys and two girls: Dennis, Carla, Mitchell, Linda, and Craig. They spent most of their time working side by side on the family farm. When Karl was away for work, she had no problem carrying the workload.
She had beautiful blue eyes, red hair, and was lovingly referred to as “Red” by her husband. Marilyn was an amazing homemaker and the best cook around. She could whip up a delicious meal in minutes and was always happy to share with anyone. At a young age, she learned the value of being a hard worker and carried this with her throughout her life. She enjoyed being a grandma and loved her grandkids very much.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Dennis (Jyll) Worwood of Levan, Carla (Jerry) Kendall of Nephi, Mitchell Worwood of Levan, and Linda (Gary) Smith of Nephi; 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Mont and Coral), her husband (Karl), her son (Craig), brother (Grant), sisters (Doris and Ada), grandson (JC), granddaughter (Tina), and great-grandson (Cade). A private family funeral was held on Saturday, November 21, 2020. The family would like to thank the staff of The Victorian House, Amberlee Worwood, Abbie Price, Julieann Parkin, and Dr. Rasmussen for the loving care they provided to Marilyn.
