On the afternoon of October 31, 2016, heaven threw a homecoming party for Dawn Sheryl Sperry of Nephi.
Sheryl was born October 20, 1956 in Monrovia, California to Don Anderson and Marva Larue Keyte. Sheryl loved life. She was happiest when she was with her family and friends enjoying each other's company and sharing in good times. Her love for her children, Jeff Zakurdaev and Summer Sperry, made her a great mother who always did her bet to ensure that they knew life was full of joy and worth living. The door of her home was always open to the friends of her children. She spent many hours entertaining youth from Mona and Nephi on countless excursions on behalf of her children and because of that our friends were her friends. Of all her friends, she loved her husband and best friend Kevin Sperry the most. One of her favorites past times was camping and enjoying the great outdoors with Kevin. In her younger years, Sheryl was a waitress and loved being with and serving her customers at the cafe. Before her death, and for many years, Sheryl had been ill. It is our deepest wish that in her new life she will find the peace and happiness she sought for so long here on Earth, It is our sincere desire to thank her for the peace and happiness she brought to our lives with her sweet smile and caring spirit. Thanks mom.
Sheryl leaves behind many friends and family from Mona and Nephi; the Keyte family, along with Norm and Rose Whiting. She leaves behind two children, a son Jeff (Ladawn) Zakurdaev, and a daughter Summer Sperry. She also leaves behind her mother-in-law Mattie Sperry. Finally, Sheryl leaves the love of her life Kevin L. Sperry, her husband and soul mate.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Mona Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Her husband and children would like to invite all who considered her family or friend to attend the service.
