Adele T. Jackson
1923-2010


Adele Dorothy Tidwell Jackson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away October 7, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born July 1, 1923 in Moroni, Utah, to Willis Hyrum and Esther Margaret Nielsen Tidwell. She married Alfred Eugene Jackson June 18, 1947 in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away April 17, 1993.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. She was a member of the Challis Club and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved the Lord, serving others, and being with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mother, we will always love you and you will always be in our hearts.
She is survived by her children, Sue (Jim) Werner of Salt Lake City; Carol (Scott) Egbert of West Jordan; Peggy (Roger) Koon of Tooele; Mark (Kim) Jackson of Nephi; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene; parents; two sisters, Stella and Rula; and one brother, Earl.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 13, 2010, in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1025 N. 400 E. Family and friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W. 300 N., Nephi, Utah, and at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
We are grateful to all the many wonderful people who helped care for our Mother in her last years.


Howard P. Jones
1934-2010


Howard Preston Jones, 76, died on October 7, 2010, at his home in Cypress, California. He was born on February 17, 1934, in Nephi, Utah, to Dr. Preston L. and Helen Bailey Jones. He graduated from Juab High School, went to Brigham Young University for one year, served in the Armed Forces, and graduated from the University of Utah with a Master of Business Administration degree. He married Patricia Newby on July 17, 1959. In 1964, they moved to Cypress, California, where they have lived ever since.
Howard had a special passion for geology, a keen intellect, and a dry wit that endeared him to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, of Cypress, California; a daughter, Carla (Steve) Terry of Boise, Idaho; a son, Douglas Jones of Cypress, California; 2 grandchildren, Shauna (Adam) Velasquez of Pocatello, Idaho, and Jillian Terry of Boise, Idaho; 2 great-grandchildren, Halle and Ethan Velasquez; a sister, Ruth Eleanor (Jenny) (Angus) Belliston of Provo, Utah; a brother, Dr. Nelson (Lucy) Jones of Nephi, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, October 15, 2010, from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W. 300 N., Nephi, Utah, after which there will be a short memorial service to celebrate Howard's life. Interment will be at Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah, under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted.
