Carlos Gause
1932-2008
Carlos (Gator) E. Gause died October 25, 2008 at his home in Nephi, Utah, from a lingering illness. He was born Sept. 19, 1932 in Marianna, FL to Addis E. and Dora R. Gause. He graduated from Marianna High School in 1950. Carlos honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He then moved to Utah and began his career at Geneva Steel where he worked for 33 years.
Carlos married Uleda Fay Emmons on June 28, 1955. He was happiest outdoors spending time with his family and friends hunting, fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gloria Enfinger. He is survived by his wife, Uleda Gause; three sons and daughters-in-law, Preston and Debbie Gause, Paul and Linda Gause, Charles and Christy Gause; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Nephi, Utah, located at 94 W. 300 N. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral services. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah, with full military honors.

Kourtney L. Olsen
1976-2008
Kourtney Lee Olsen, age 32, passed away October 21, 2008 at his home in Nephi, Utah.
He was born March 6, 1976 in Nephi, Utah, to Lee Vernon and Rebecca Sue Williams Olsen.
He was employed by Walker Oil/Mission Transport. Kourtney loved the outdoors and spending much of his free time with his niece, Bailee and lil buddy, Zach Coombs. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and chasing lions with his hounds and mules. Kourtney was a man of the road. His job took him far and wide, allowing him to see a lot of the country. Most of all he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Lee and Becky; his sister, Andrea and niece, Bailee; brother, Trevor (Ashley) Olsen, all of Nephi; grandmother, Darlene Olsen. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jason Lynn Olsen and grandparents, Jude and Ramone Williams and Vernon L. Olsen.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 in the Nephi 1st Ward, 222 S. 100 E. Interment in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
