Colleen Dastrup
1935 ~ 2015


Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Colleen Larsen Dastrup, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2015 in Richfield. She was born May 24, 1935 in Richfield, a daughter of Willis George and Edna Spafford Larsen. She married Newell D. Dastrup, June 28, 1952 in Richfield. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple July 1, 2000. Newell preceded her in death on July 25, 2001. 
Colleen was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a dedicated Visiting Teacher and in numerous other callings throughout the years. 
She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, riding 4-wheelers and any kind of a party. She loved watching the Jazz games. "Go JAZZ."
Colleen is survived by her children: Paul W. and Denise Dastrup of Panguitch; Brenda Tanner of Redmond; Karen and Kim Anderson of Richfield; N. David and Chantel Dastrup of Nephi; Kent B. "Buddy" and Lisa Dastrup of Cedar City; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Edna Larsen; her husband, Newell D. Dastrup; two daughters: Susan Colleen Addy Rasmussen and Diane Dastrup; and two sisters: Janet Larsen and Barbara Anderson.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the wonderful staff, management and doctors at the Richfield Care Center, for all their love, support and kindness shown to our dear Mom over the past 18 months.
Grave side services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 12 noon in the Richfield City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the graveside.
Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.


Ray J Crook
1926 ~ 2015


Ray J Crook passed away on August 26, 2015.  He was born in Logan, Utah on July 30, 1926 and was raised by Reno and Leola Crook.
Ray was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa.  After graduating from high school in Lyman, Wyoming, he joined the Army and spent time in Japan and the Philippines during World War II.  Upon completion of his military services, Ray returned to Logan and graduated from Utah State University and worked several years for the US Forest Service.  He later moved to Salt Lake City and met and married the love of his life in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 21, 1963.  He is survived by his wife Stella Ruth Bass of 52 years, sons Tracy (Dori) and Terry (Louise), brothers Kay Crook ( LaRue) and Kelvin Hoover (Norma), sisters Kathleen Gabbitas (Robert) and Doris Funk.  Ray is preceded in death by his son Danny at the age of 9 and sisters Jean Christiansen (Merlin) and Betty Murphy.  He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren.
Ray retired as a civilian employee for the US Air Force in Ogden, Utah and Cheyenne, Wyoming.  When not working and providing for his family he was an avid rock hound but was most proud of his 15 years singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and touring the world.  His grandkids will always remember the song in his heart and the harmonica in his mouth. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at the Central Utah Veterans Home for their loving care during his stay.
Funeral services were held on August 31, 2015 at the Levan, Utah Second Ward Chapel. Internment at the Levan Town Cemetery.


John Corey Bird
1958 ~ 2015


John Corey Bird died on August 27, 2015 in Nephi, Utah after a long, courageous battle with a malignant brain tumor. Corey was born September 20, 1958 in Nephi, Utah to Lawrence Edward Bird and Norma Jean Jacobsen Bird. He attended schools in Nephi and graduated from Juab High School. He worked most of his life as a restaurant cook. He lived most of his adult life in Salt Lake City, Utah and Clearwater and Jacksonville, Florida.
While living in Clearwater he met and married Gloria Jean Square on February 17, 2001. She was the love of his life and a source of true happiness for him until her death on March 23, 2009. In March of 2013 he made his way back to Nephi and the welcoming arms of his family and friends where he lived until his passing.
Corey was a quiet, unassuming person. He was content with the simple things in life. He appreciated the acts of kindness and service rendered in his behalf.
Corey was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, mother Norma, brother Jerry, sister Diane.  He is survived by his father Lawrence, brothers and sisters Dale (Suzi) Bird, David (Susan) Bird, Colleen (Loren) Wilson, Richard (Evelyn) Bird, Barbara (Dennis) Everitt, Danine (Rex) Davis.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Heritage Hills Care Center and Mickelson's Restaurant. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Anderson's Funeral Home. Interment at Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi.


Ruth Emily Billeter Belliston
1934-2015


Ruth Emily Billeter Belliston passed away in her sleep on August 22, 2015 after many years of arthritis pain, illness and heart trouble. She was born November 2, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Julius C. and Celeste Pingree Billeter. She grew up on the Avenues of Salt Lake City where she was very active in sports, church and had many friends. She graduated from West High School and the University of Utah.
She married Richard Farrell Belliston on August 10, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Before her illness made it difficult to serve in the church, she worked for several years with the young women of the church. She loved them and they in turn loved her.
Ruth was always a loving and supportive mother and was beloved by her children as well as everyone else. During her life she worked as a mother, homemaker, bookkeeper, office manager, teacher, and genealogy researcher for her church.
Ruth is survived by her husband Richard; daughter Cyndie (Lynn) Chidester and grandson Micheal, and son Kent. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Judy Billeter Dunford and Marian Billeter Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Annamae Angerbauer, J. David (Bud) Billeter, Herald Billeter and Jerald Bellieter.
