It definitely was a night of "Making Memories" as eight contestants vied for the title of Miss Juab County 2014. They shared their favorite memories, wowed us with their talents, dazzled us with their evening wear, and overall, represented themselves very well.
Jessika Kenison, daughter of Gordon and Kim Kenison of Levan, walked away with the top honor. She performed a piano solo for her talent. For her favorite memory she talked about wakeboarding out at Yuba Reservoir and having fun with family and friends. She recently graduated from Juab High School, and her plan for the future is to attend Snow College and pursue a degree in elementary education.
Makelle Wright, daughter of Maughn and Karla Wright of Nephi, was crowned 1st attendant. She performed a piano solo for her talent. She chose baking goodies for the county fair with her family as her favorite memory. She will be a senior at Juab High School this fall and serve as drill team president as well as an SBO. She plans to attend Southern Utah University and pursue a degree in business.
Shamri Wright, daughter of Korey and Emily Wright of Nephi, was crowned 2nd attendant. She performed a piano solo for her talent. She chose showing steers at the county fair as her favorite memory. She will be a senior at Juab High School this fall and serve as Student Body Vice-President. Her future plans include attending Southern Utah University.
Alexis Finch, Miss Juab County 2013, and 1st attendant Hailee Garrett entertained the large crowd with their past memories of the fair during their reign. They kept the crowd laughing in their seats.
The new royalty will reign over fair activities and events this week, August 4-9, and attend various parades and events throughout the year.
