  • Twelve to vie for 2011 Miss Juab County August 8th

The Juab County Fair will host the Miss Juab County Scholarship Pageant on Monday, August 8, when the new Miss Juab County 2011 will be crowned. The theme is "My Fair Lady." The pageant will be held in the Junior High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.
Twelve contestants will vie for the title:
Alexa Nielson is the daughter of Lex and Elisa Nielson of Mona. She will show a video of her softball, basketball and rodeo skills. Alexa plans on attending Evans College in Cedar City to become a beautician.
Amber Cordner is the daughter of Paul and LaDawn Cordner of Nephi. Amber will perform a Hip Hop dance number for her talent. She plans on continuing her education to be a registered nurse. She would like to work with newborns in labor and delivery, NICU and the nursery.
Amanda Brooks is the daughter of Stony and Stacy Brooks of Levan. Amanda will perform a musical theater number for her talent. She plans to attend college to further her knowledge of music and pursue a career in music education.
Keylee Kugler is the daughter of Jason and Jennifer Kugler of Nephi. Keylee's talent will be a trapshooting presentation. She plans on attending Southern Utah University to obtain a Bachelor degree in business management.
Steisha Memmott is the daughter of Michael and Shanna Memmott of Mona. She will perform a vocal solo for her talent. She will be attending Snow College this fall and pursuing a degree in anthropology.
Chantel Harmon is the daughter of Trent and Lynette Harmon of Nephi. Chantel will perform a piano solo. She would like to pursue a degree in business.
Camie Jacobsen is the daughter of Wade and Diane Jacobsen of Nephi. She will perform a piano solo. She will be attending Southern Utah University this fall. She plans on majoring in English and Secondary Education.
Brittney Chapple is the daughter of Jeff and Melodie Chapple of Nephi. Brittney will perform a clogging number for her talent. She would like to further her education and become an elementary school teacher.
McKenzie Shaw is the daughter of Merrill and Mary Shaw of Nephi. She will perform a dance number. She plans on attending BYU and majoring in education and dance. She would like to be an elementary school teacher.
Kerissa Branch is the daughter of Chris and Amy Branch of Nephi. Her talent will be a vocal solo. Kerissa plans on attending Dixie State College and becoming an ultrasound technician.
Ashley Yates is the daughter of Donovan and Elaine Yates of Mona. Ashley will perform a piano solo. She is attending Brigham Young University. She is considering a career in pharmaceutical or broadcast journalism.
The contestants will perform their talent, model evening gowns and 'Women from the Past' wear, give a personal thought and answer an on stage question at the pageant.
Camee Coombs, Miss Juab County 2010, and her Attendants, Emma Clement and Madison Finch will crown the new royalty. It will be a night filled with lots of talent and entertainment as we begin the 2011 Juab County Fair week. The public is invited to attend, free of charge.
Brittany Tatton, daughter of David & Jennifer Tatton of Nephi. She will perform a dance number. She plans on attending Southern Utah University to major in English and minor in dance after graduating from high school.
The new 2011 royalty will reign over the fair week festivities, August 9-13.
