Faye Tomlinson Johnson
1935-2007


Evelyn Faye Fotheringham Tomlinson Johnson, age 72, passed away peacefully Monday, August 6, 2007 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Faye was born in Spring Lake, UT on July 12, 1935, to Otto and Leona (Stickney) Fotheringham, the youngest of eight children.
At the tender age of 6, her mother was tragically killed in an automobile accident. Faye was then cared for by her loving sister Birdean Duke in Provo, UT. In 1952, Mom met and married the love of her life, Ralph F. Tomlinson. They spent their married life in Pleasant Grove, later moving to Manila, where Mom resided for 38 years. They were blessed with four children, Terry, Kim, Ted and Jeanie. Faye and Ralph were later divorced. He preceded her in death Jan 10, 2007.
Mom was a devoted, kind, loving mother and grandmother who always put the needs of others before herself. Mom will be remembered as being a beautiful woman with a charming personality. She was a wonderful homemaker, and loved spending time with her family and many friends. Faye married Donald C. Johnson Nov 7, 1997, who tenderly cared for her at home until the time of her death.
Faye is survived by her husband, Don; her children, Terry Tomlinson, Santaquin, Kim (Craig) Allred, Mona, Ted (Sheri) Tomlinson, Lehi, and Jeanie (Carey) West, Pleasant Grove; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Lorna) Fotheringham, Lindon, and Bert (Carol) Fotheringham, American Fork. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Don and Jack, and sisters, Juanita, June and Birdean.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Manila 1st Ward Chapel. Interment at the Mona City Cemetery. The family expresses sincere thanks to Comfort Care Hospice for their kindness and loving care of our mother.


Joyce Thompson


Joyce Verbena Christensen Thompson died July 27, 2007 in Chandler, Arizona, of complications of C.O.P.D. Born June 14, 1928 in Moroni, Utah, to Darwin and Verbena Sudweeks Christensen. She was born at home, in a 2 room house her father built, with a doctor's bill of $25.
She graduated from Moroni High School and then on to graduate from Stevens Henagar Business College in Salt Lake City.
She met Kenneth Thompson (who graduated as a pharmacist) and were married on Dec. 21, 1954 in her parent’s home in Moroni. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
They made their home in Bakersfield, California. Ken worked as a pharmacy sales representative for Eli Lilly, then a pharmacist. They later moved to Kernville, California, where they owned and operated two drug stores, Kernville Drugs and Lake Isabella Drugs.
Joyce attended California State University Bakersfield and graduated Cum Laude with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in English Communications. And wrote many poems and was president of the literary society. She was President of the Relief Society in the Kernville Ward and served in many other church callings.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; and children, Kathy (Walt) Woys, Trudy (Joe) Vitale, Brad (deceased) (Dianna) Thompson, Terry Thompson, Tami (George) Daugherty; grandchildren, Jason (Elizabeth) Woys, Jennifer Woys, Justin Woys, Shannon Vitale. LaLayna (Donovan) Miles, Nicole Thompson, Julie Sweat, Cassie Sweat, Sam Daugherty. Survived by two sisters, Wanda (Dan) Memmott and Lois (Ed) Jessen. Preceded in death by parents and son Brad.


Erveena Blake
1930-2007


Our loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend Erveena Andrews Blake passed away on August 11, 2007 at age 76 surrounded by her family who loved her so dearly.
Daughter of Erva and Rita Andrews. Erveena was born on September 18,1930 in Nephi, Utah. She worked on the family farm growing up. She graduated from Juab High School. She graduated from Henagar's School of Business in Salt Lake City. Her professional career consisted of secretarial services for companies including Goodbody & Company, Raytheon, and Merrill Lynch. Her career also took her to San Francisco, Las Vegas, Nevada and Boston, Massachusetts, and settled back in Salt Lake City. Veen assisted her husband in developing apartment complexes, subdivisions, and building homes. She sold real estate and had her broker's license. Up until her death she assisted in developing 22 elderly housing units in Nephi, Utah, and was still actively involved.
On July 31,1965 she married her husband Spencer Lewis Blake and they celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Erveena is survived by her husband, Spencer Blake; brothers Don Andrews (Niekie) Palo Alto, California, Wayne Andrews (Joyce) Nephi, Utah, Thomas Earl Andrews (Barbara) Draper, Utah, and many nieces and nephews, many dear friends.
Proceeded in death by her parents, her dear sister Margretta Andrews Wilcox, and many beloved dogs.
The family would like to thank the amazing team at the University of Utah Hospital and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
As a family we are honoring Veen's request to not have a funeral; however, we want to celebrate her life. This celebration will take place on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 12:00 noon with a visitation between 11:30 and 12:00 at Evans & Early Mortuary located at 574 East 100 South, Salt Lake City.


Perry Bailey
1034-2007


Perry Bailey, Sr., 72, of Wibaux, MT, passed away at his home Tuesday, July 31, 2007, after a brief medical illness.
A Memorial service was held August 4 at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Wibaux, MT with Bishop Norm McDowell officiating. Military honors were provided by American Legion Post #5 of Beach, North Dakota. A luncheon at the Palace Cafe in Wibaux, MT followed the memorial service. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Wibaux, MT was entrusted with arrangements.
Perry was born September 14, 1934, in Fountain Green, Utah, the son of Kenneth Perry Bailey and Leora Vee (Hanson) Bailey. He was raised in Nephi, Utah. "Senior" became an over-the-road truck driver at age 16. He drove truck for Conoco for 15 years and achieved the Million Mile Award.
He met his wife, Marlene Roberts, in November 1965. After a short courtship of six weeks, they were married January 1, 1966. The couple resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, and had two children, Perry, Jr. and Lisa Marie. The family also lived in Douglas, Wyoming, for three years and in Roundup for two years. They moved to Wibaux, MT in 1981.
Perry took medical retirement from Conoco in 1990 and continued mowing lawns and working as a ranch hand in the Wibaux, MT area. He always surrounded everyone around him with laughter and smiles. He enjoyed long visits with family and friends and always had a "matter of fact" attitude which was positive, realistic, and humorous.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Perry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marlene Bailey of Wibaux; his son, Perry, Jr. of Wibaux, MT; his daughter, Lisa Marie Bailey and her fiancee, Kenneth Dupre of San Diego, California; his granddaughter, Carly Bailey of Austin, Texas; his grandson, Jonas Woodard of Wibaux, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by close family friends, Bonita and Don Duncan of Wibaux, MT; Vernona and Lynn Pace of Salt Lake City, Utah; Todd Leach of Wibaux, MT; Darci Welliever of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Bruno and Katie Hilgart of Glendive.
