  • Seven vie for Miss Juab County Fair


The Juab County Fair will officially begin on Monday, Aug. 6, with the crowning of the new Miss Juab County 2001. The pageant will be held in the 7th/8th Grade Center Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

Seven contestants will vie for the title. Nikki Jarrett, daughter of Reid and Vickie Jarrett; Marci Blackett, daughter of Morris and Lisa Blackett; Krystle Cook, daughter of Neil and Sharlene Cook; Lyndsey Stoddard, daughter of Mark and LeAnn Stoddard; Kayleen Garrett, daughter of Blake and Susan Garrett; Mary Dawn Sperry, daughter of Craig and Mary Lou Sperry; and Jennifer Zirbes, daughter of Debbie Zirbes.

On Monday evening they will perform their talent, model evening gown and street dress attire, give a personal thought and answer an on stage question.

The 2000 Miss Juab County Royalty will crown the new royalty. Raymond Nielsen and Lynette Harmon will be the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies. It will be a night filled with lots of talent, beauty and entertainment. The public is invited to attend, free of charge.

The new 2001 royalty will reign over the fair week festivities, Aug. 7-11. Miss Juab County will represent the county at the Miss Utah State Fair Pageant in Salt Lake City in September.
