Carolyn Ockey
1934 ~ 2015
Carolyn Carter Ockey passed away unexpectedly at her home east of Nephi on June 28, 2015.
She was the first child born to Farrell W. Carter and Yvonne Broadbent Carter on December 16, 1934. She married the love of her life, James H Ockey Jr. on January 9, 1953 in the Manti Temple.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter day Saints and served faithfully. She made many life long friends while managing the KOA Campground side by side with her husband. Her life was one of love and service to her family, friends, and all she came in contact with, always thinking the best of others. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved doing hand work and making things for her children and grandchildren. We will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her husband Jim, their 5 children, Margaret Lanae Tiller of St George, Karen (Larry) Elkington of West Jordan, Jamie (Mark) Kay of Mona, Kevin James (Laura Lee) Ockey of Nephi and Melanie (Scott) Molyneaux of Nephi, 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two sisters, Bonnie (David) Broadhead of St George and Ann Yates of Vernal, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 3, 2015 11:00 a.m. with a viewing 1 hour prior at the 4th and 5th ward chapel. Viewing at Anderson Funeral Home July 2, 2015 from 6-8 p.m.
