Glade B. Steele
1938~2012
Glade Brigham Steele, age 73, passed away June 5, 2012 at his home in Nephi, Utah.
He was born July 31, 1938 in Orem, Utah to Leo and Alice Bell Steele. He married Rosemarie Halverson July of 1960. Glade and Rosemarie raised a family in Benjamin, Utah and he was always proud of their two sons, Chet and Scott. He retired from Geneva Steel and also co-owned a water well drilling business with his father and brother. Glade and Rose moved to Big Fork, Arkansas in 1998 and together made many friends. They shared several happy years together in Arkansas. She passed away April 25, 2004.
Glade's life became filled with beauty and laughter when he met Marilyn Garrett. They married June 10, 2005. Together they made their Arkansas property bloom with beautiful flowers, and trill with the songs of countless birds. They loved fishing on their private pond and shared hours of happiness on their porch enjoying the deer and other wildlife. Each change of season was celebrated with a welcoming array of decorations and sharing home and food with friends. This past year, as Glade's health declined, they moved back to Nephi, Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Chet (Barbara) Steele; Scott (Sharon) Steele; step-sons, Allan (Wendi) Lund; Merrell (Melody) Lund; 4 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie; parents; brother, Rex; sister, Shirley Chapman.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North Nephi. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 pm and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the Anderson Funeral Home. Cremation to follow, as he requested.
