David LaVar Kendall
1956-2010


Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2010. David was born August 26, 1956 in Nephi, Utah. He spent his entire life there, passing away in the same home he grew up in.
David loved the outdoors and helping others. He was always first to lend a hand to anyone in need. He also loved hunting, fishing, camping, demolition derbies, puzzles, and anything to do with his family.
He married Brenda Simao in December 1978. Together they had 4 children.
He is survived by his wife and children: Eileen, Brent, Christina,and Lisa. Also survived by unborn grandchild and grandson Damien, sister Shirleen (Butch, deceased), and brothers Darrell (Jackie), Bruce and Richard (Katheen). Preceded recently in death by sister Joy and his brother Ricky, sister Melanie and his parents.
Visitation and viewing Tuesday, June 1, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Nephi. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment immediately following at Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, donations will gratefully be accepted by the family to help cover the expenses of the funeral.


Donald A. Royce
1913-2010


Donald Arthur Royce, age 96, passed away May 29, 2010. He was born December 15, 1913 in Au Gross, Michigan, to Andrew Chester and Alta May Campbell Royce. He married Bernice Barton August 31, 1938. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple in 1956. She passed away November 8, 2007.
Don was very devoted to his wife and family. He played the piano for 87 years. Music was a great enjoyment for him throughout his life. He enjoyed giving service to civic causes like scouts, county commission, city council, senior citizens and many church callings. Don and Bernice love to travel and seek out adventure wherever they could find it.
He is survived by four children: Jean Fowkes (Lee) of Nephi, Robert Royce (Pat) of West Jordan, Mike Royce (Carolyn) of Levan, Dale Royce (Gay) of Nephi; 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010, in the Levan 2nd Ward. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W. 300 N., Nephi and at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the loving staff at the Victorian House for their wonderful care, also his hospice and home health caregivers.
